Many non-public students are served in our student programs and through the professional development and other collaborative work we do with their teachers and administrators.

Staff is divided into three basic categories:

  • 349 Program and services staff in the Educational Service Center, Kent Career Technical Center and Kent Transition Center
  • 452 Special Education itinerant staff serving students in buildings across Kent ISD
  • 155 Special Education bus drivers

Kent ISD Budget

Our 2009-2010 total budget was $250,731,899.

Our total dollars distributed to our districts was $143,205,470. Part of Kent ISD’s role is to pass on federal, state and local dollars to our districts in the areas of Special Education and other Teaching & Learning.
